Aberrant Wanderers: Trek to Chanderi Fort on 22nd September 2013

Hello Wanderers,
We are glad to invite you for one day trek to Chanderi Fort on 22nd September 2013.

Grade: Medium

Chanderi fort is situated in the center of the Matheran mountain range. There is a cave in its huge rock massif. The route up to the cave is a normal trekking route. From the cave, an exposed trail leads one to the topmost part of the fort. The view from the top is excellent. It was used as a watch-tower in olden days. A beautiful statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is situated on the top.

Meeting Point:

Vangani railway stations at 07:50 AM
Catch the Fast local train for Karjat.
For your convenience Karjat train timings are as follows:

06:16 am : CST
06:23 am : Byculla
06:30 am : Dadar
06:37 am : Kurla
06:41 am : Ghatkopar
06:56 am : Thane
07:08 am : Dombivali
07:16 am : Kalyan
07:46 am : Vangani

Expenses:

Rs 400/- per head which includes

Vangani to Vangani Traveling
Breakfast.

A Water Bottle ( at least 2 Ltrs)
