General Information:
Fort Peb is situated on northeast side of Panvel, on Mumbai-Pune road, at a distance of 3-4 km on west side of Neral. This is the most beautiful one-daytrek. The fort derives it name from the Goddess ‘Pebi’; The fort is also named as ‘VikatGad’ for its supposed shape of the Elephant Headed God, ‘Ganesh’. Historical references clearly indicate that Shivaji Maharaj used the caves on the fort as silos for grain storage. The fort is famous for its caves which are maintained by disciples of Swammi Samartha and the meditation chambers carved out from the rock inside the mountain.

Catch the Fast local train for Karjat.

06:30 am : Dadar
06:37 am : Kurla
06:41 am : Ghatkopar
06:56 am : Thane
07:08 am : Dombivali
07:16 am : Kalyan
07:54 am : Neral
If you miss this train then there is another train at 6:45 am but please try to catch above mentioned fast train.

- 08:00 am : Meeting at Neral Station
- 08:15 am : Breakfast
- 08.45 am : Start moving to Kadyavarcha Ganpati point by private vehicle.
- 09:30 am : Reach Base.
- 09:45 am : Start Trek.
- 12:00 pm : Reach top of the fort. Exploration and Lunch.
- 02.00 pm : Strt desending down.
- 03.30 pm : Reach base.
- 04.30 pm : Back to Neral.
- 06.30 pm : Mumbai
Expenses:
Rs 500/- per head which includes travelling from Neral to Neral , breakfast and evening tea.
